1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Summarizer.xyz is a tool that allows you to follow up to three YouTube channels. We periodically check for new videos published on the same day, attempt to obtain transcripts, generate business-development oriented summaries using AI, and email those summaries to the address associated with your Google account.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
3. Account and eligibility
You must sign in with a valid Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Only add YouTube channels you are allowed to follow and process under YouTube’s Terms of Service and applicable law.
- Not use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service.
- Accept that AI-generated summaries may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should not rely on them as the sole basis for important business decisions without further verification.
5. Intellectual property
We own all rights in the Service itself (software, design, branding).
You retain all rights in the content of the YouTube videos. The summaries we generate are provided to you for your personal or internal business use. You may not systematically redistribute the summaries as a competing service.
6. Third-party services
The Service depends on Google Sign-In, the YouTube Data API, email delivery, and third-party AI providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or behaviour of those third-party services.
7. Disclaimers
- Summaries are generated automatically by AI and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.
- We do not guarantee that every new video will be successfully transcribed or summarised (e.g. missing captions, API limits, technical issues).
- The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including Swedish law), we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising out of your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is higher.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination we will delete or anonymise your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service where reasonably possible.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any dispute shall be resolved by the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence provide otherwise.
